National Anthem

"BLESSED MOTHER LAND"

"KURU NINA KIBČRKAT"

Rai lui ina hami umaing

Ihuni sutung wani hinati,

Ratara sedim, tasira yaing

Na taura rang kula hi ati

.

Hami, nus Makuwa ni ahudak,

Umana haima nguwa dulin.

Lirai yamalmai hami ukurak

Hi tanu hami santain yujin.

             ***

Kuru Nina kibčrkat

Ina iyoka hami yan,

Adi lasahi ni ratna,

Liraidahen Kaupčlan.

            ***

Hami, tikai, kisulatu,

Kidai waim yungi sahi tana,

Uni langahe sai lapu

Na jiwa hi wiraha upana.

Ate watera ai langi

Na yabidi ina kena imulin,

Ingawa leyai sambi

Hi tanu ina santaira yujin.

From a sacred land we are,

With dense forest and trees,

Beautiful mountains, blue seas

And a people with brave heart.

We came from Makuwa tribes,

Heirs of a people, the strongest.

An honourable king to guide us

In the fields our ancestors rest.

              ***

Blessed Mother Land,

Shelter for our kin,

Jewel of the Occident,

Kingdom of Kaupelan.

               ***

But we are always prepared,

If the shadows seize the land;

For a campaign, long and hard

Our lives in sacrifice we grant.

Till the Sun returns to the sky

And the dawn finally shine

Bringing peace to last

In the fields our ancestors rest.
