| PARLIAMENT REDUCES DAHES MANDATE | ECONOMY | |
| Purikali
- Yesterday the Parliament (Haimauman) approved the
enactment to reduce the mandate of the Prime Minister and
her State Ministers to four years instead of the 6-year
mandate established since 1977 in the Constitution. The
score of 52 favourable and 43 contrary to the act gave
the necessary majority for the final approval. The
measure will be applied to the current government team.
It is a big defeat to the Haima Party, the party of the
Prime Minister, Mrs. Samira Dahe. According to analysts, this result is the consequence of the drop in Mrs. Dahes popularity after the terrorist attack to the Market Street in Purikali, in December of |
the last
year. On that occasion, an explosion attributed to an
obscure Islamic group called "Laskare Allah"
killed 33 people. The police arrested 8 suspects of the
crime. Its connection with international terrorist groups
is not yet attested. The government has received a lot of criticisms from senators of parties of the right requesting a firm response to this menace. These senators have interpreted the traditional alliance of Mrs. Dahes Party with Islamic groups and its opposition to US military intervention in the Middle East as tolerance to terrorist actions. |

The original purpose of the 8-seat car was military although its civilian version can be used in a wide range of applications as a sport utility vehicle (SUV). "Jangals ability to be used in all types of roads and terrains makes it specially suitable for young people looking for adventure. |
| GOSSIPS ROYAL SECRET UNVEILED Nuhu Ngiti Despite the well-known discretion of the royal family, prince Akeri was seen last week in the company of a beautiful girl. Many rumours are in the air. Is prince Akeri in love? Is it a serious relationship? According to a source close to His Highness, she belongs to the high society of Yukland, a northern European country. In the last years, some Yukkish tourists are frequent visitors to Kaupelan, after the purchase of a resort in Nuhu Ngiti by a rich businessman. ![]() Friðeshus, the Yukkish villa in the island of Nuhu Ngiti |
The diplomatic relations between the two
countries evolved since then and recently a Yukkish
embassy was open in Purikali, followed by a Kaupelanese
embassy in Ísðor, capital of that country. PEACE FORCES ROYAL ARMY WITHDRAWS TROOPS FROM EAST TIMOR Dili The Royal Army started to remove part of its contingent from East Timor after four years serving as part of UN forces to ensure a peaceful transition to independence. From the original force of 500 soldiers, only 200 will remain in Dili. "Our mission in this country is nearly accomplished" said Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Abai, commander of Kaupelanese force in Timor. Yesterday, a C-130 of the Royal Air Force arrived to Tanu Rungu Air Base, Purikali, bringing home the first group of soldiers from the 38th Infantry Battalion of Rataanga. |
Its
versatility for a large range of civilian applications
should be interesting to our neighbour countries",
said Yuwaung Daherain, Marketing & Sales Director. The total 2004 production from Watera plant in Hujumai district is expected to be around 100,000 cars, mostly for export market. It also includes Jimpy and Brisk, respectively the mini- and the mid-size cars of the company. Jangals price, however, of USD 33,000 (about KAH 83,000) can limit this prospective view. ![]() Jangal at Ratangiti Proving Ground |
